Mule deer hunters can expect to pursue their quarry in and around timberline or above. The many "parks" on property provide the perfect grazing for the animals that frequent our hunting area.

In 2010 Colorado big game draw there were 30 deer tags for the entire unit for archery mule deer. In 2010 Colorado big game draw there were 81 elk tags for the entire unit for archery elk.

Unit 67 is a limited draw area for all deer and bull elk hunts. The quality has improved yearly since becoming a draw only area and hunters take several trophy animals in the GMU each year. These landowner tags are for archery buck mule deer in Colorado unit 67.

Hunters have exclusive deer hunting access to the ranch from August 27th thru September 6th. They can continue hunting with the tag in the expansive adjoining public lands, the unit comprises primarily public land with a fairly even mix of BLM and National Forest. Hunters enjoy private land hunting for 11 days and then for the remainder of season hunt the public, but will not be allowed on the private property to hunt after September 6th.

The 2000 acres private is definitely an advantage for archers wishing to fill their tag with a quality buck deer.

Accommodations:

A small 100 year old primitive cabin is available for use by the hunters and includes beds table chairs and a heat stove. Nothing fancy but sure beats a tent. Outdoor camp fires are only allowed inside the fenced yard around the cabin and only if there is not a regional burn ban or other official ban in the area.

This hunt is unguided and we will provide gate access and a general map to property.

This ranch  is prime elk and mule deer habitat.
