WE SCOUTED THE FIELDS EXTENSIVELY THIS PAST WEEK. HAD A LOT OF DRAMATIC WEATHER CHANGES. THE DOVE OPENER LOOKS TO BE OUTSTANDING DESPITE OUR DROUGHTHY CONDITIONS. see below:
NORTH FIELDS---- KRUM, SANGER, THE WHITEWING DOVE ARE PLENTIFUL IN THE SANGER AREA. LARGE SWARMS OF "WHITEYS" ARE MOVING FROM ONE MILO FIELD TO ANOTHER. IT IS AMAZING WHEN YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE SEVERAL THOUSAND DOVE IN A SHORT SCOUTING SESSION IN A GIVEN FIELD. THE KRUM AREA HAS VERY GOOD MIXED BIRDS, LOTS OF SMALLER GROUPS INSTEAD OF THE WHIRLWIND OF "WHITEYS". WE WILL TOUR MOST OF THESE FIELDS THIS NEXT SATURDAY (8/20/11) SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS. 15 FIELDS AVAILABLE IN THE KRUM, SANGER AREA. REMEMBER, PLEASE DO NOT PRESSURE THESE DOVE, THEY KNOW WE ARE NOT THEIR FRIEND AND THEY CAN AND WILL FLY OFF AND NOT COME BACK.
WEST FIELDS----EASTLAND AREA, MORE TRADITIONAL DOVE HUNTING AROUND SUNFLOWERS, CROTON AND STOCK TANKS, MOSTLY MOURNING DOVE AND VERY PREDICTABLE LOCATIONS. THE MATURE SUNFLOWER AND CROTON SEED IS HOLDING VERY GOOD NUMBERS OF DOVE. THEY ARE FEEDING IN SMALL PACKS OF 10-20 BIRDS, AND WATERING AT THEIR FAVORITE STOCK PONDS NEARBY. WE HAVE ANOTHER 12-15 FIELDS IN THE CARBON, GORMAN, EASTLAND, CISCO, AND STEPHENVILLE AREA'S
THE RECENT RAINS WERE VERY BENEFICIAL TO THE FIELDS, MOST ALL THE RAIN WAS SOAKED UP BY THE PARCHED PASTURES AND SOME OF THE PONDS CAUGHT A LITTLE RUN-OFF. IN A WEEK OR SO THERE WILL NOT BE MUCH DIFFERENCE IN THE CONDITIONS OTHER THAN A LITTLE MORE MOISTURE IN THE SOIL. UNLESS IT RAINS AGAIN.

For our PRIVATE dove hunting plans taylored to group hunters looking to maximize their hunting opportunity, we continue to offer great "private" fields to the North and West. These leases are restricted access to your hunting group or party only that way you can insure a fun day in the field and your in control. When you have on of our private field leases the will also include access to our shared access properties, providing you maximum flexibility in your hunting options for the days following the opening week. Field size is contingent on group size and we'll work to match your group with a field that provides the space and habitat of your preference. Catered Meal available by request for an additional fee Contact us for availability, pricing or any special requirements you may have in referenc to meals or specific locations you may desire to enhance the availiblity and lessen travel time to and from the dove field.
For our Texas dove hunters that enjoy our shared access North Texas Dove lease program, we continue to offer DOVE HUNTING fields to the north of Dallas and Ft. Worth and also to the west of the Ft. Worth Dallas metroplex. These TX dove leases encompass several thousands of acres with habitat ranging from milo, plowed fields, native grasses, tree lines, fence lines, power lines, sunflower fields standing and shredded, milo, wheat and watering holes on most all of our Texas dove leases. Our Texas dove hunting properties often sharing proximity to rural towns continue to draw good quantities of mourning dove, white wing dove and even a few eurasian dove, many leases even have the tank size rock dove that looks like a farm fed country pigeon. Several of our dove hunting fields are located within five minutes of Interstate 35 and 380, just North of Denton, Texas.
With the proximity of our leases to the metro Dallas Fort Worth area, hunters have the opportunity to get in an early morning hunt and still have time for the honey-do list back at home, family outings, kid activities including the baseball or soccer game, or even back to the dread of the work place. If early morning doesn't work for you, a late afternoon hunt is also an option. With dove fields available 7 days a week during legal Texas Dove Season hunting hours, you can take advantage of these opportunities and maximize the time spent in the field. TEXAS DOVE HUNTING DAY LEASE
For the dove hunter in Texas looking to hunt opening day only or hunting fewer than 3-5 days during the season, we offer day lease passes. Our day lease dove fields are isolated from the shared access and private fields, reducing dove hunting pressure and providing increased opportunity for when you're able to "get out there".
NOTE: If you'd like to have an extra pass to use for a hunting guest, you may purchase a shared lease pass to utilize as a "Guest Pass". This pass may be used when you have a dove hunting guest accompanying you into the field that wants to hunt, but may only hunt one time. No "Guest" hunting is allowed without this type of pass. A dove day lease pass does not substitute for this type of "shared lease" pass and the dove day lease pass holders may not access any shared lease dove fields without purchase of a shared access pass.
