This veteran outfitter has been offering Black Bear and Grizzly Bear hunts since 1924 in the picturesque Southeast Alaska. Also offered are Yukon Moose hunts with a success rate of 100%. Some of the hunts can be challenging and your guide will be there to assist you every step of the way. Just for you physically fit hunters, the Dall Sheep hunt provides a ride into the mountains on horseback, with a climb of 7500 feet. The Winter Wolf hunt offers the opportunity to get some or all of these animals: martin, mink, timber wolf, wolverine, coyote, otter, red fox, artic fox and lynx. On the Upland Birds hunt you may have the opportunity to get several different types of upland birds including ptarmigan and grouse. To top it off, they are providing an ice fishing adventure on a horse-pack trip covering 150 miles to fish from each different lake.
LAND:
The land is situated in the highest community in Southeast Alaska. From glacial views and Northern Lights to the incredible mountainsides, bring your camera because you will want to preserve the picturesque views.
LODGING AND MEALS:
Enjoy history in our comfortable lodge that has warm cabins, TV, WiFi, hot showers and of course home-style meals. The lodge is rich with history dating back to the gold rush era.
TRANSPORTATION:
This is a fly in area. All of the hunting areas are traveled by horseback or snow machines. All horses are well trained. It is recommended to keep your gear to 60 pounds or less. They offer day excursions to cross-country camping trips.
OTHER SERVICES:
Shooting range available to site in your weapons before the hunt. They will tailor your hunt to your special needs, i.e. special diet, physical concerns, etc. Also offered are day and overnight photography excursions, gold panning, rafting, spiritual retreats, and fishing that your family can enjoy while you are off hunting.
