If
you have always been dreaming about going on a big game hunt then now
is the time to start making arrangements, and there is no better place
to start than right here. Moose Valley is a family owned and operated
outfitting business. We operate two camps
known as Island Pond and Chuck’s Pond. Both camps are fly-in operations
that are accessible by float plane. Both have excellent hunting
opportunities for moose, caribou, and bear. The area that you will be
hunting is in Newfoundland’s newest ecological reserve.
Camp Float Plane
This
reserve was put in place to protect the Newfoundland pine marten. The
reserve is also protected from logging, agriculture, mining,
prospecting, claims staking and construction of new structures, roads
and trails. Since MVO was hunting this area before the reserve was put
in place, we are allowed to continue. One of my camps has been in
operation for more than 40 years, making it one of the oldest
outfitting camps on the island. Guides at both camps have over 50 years
combined guiding experience. Take a look around our website and learn
more about us. If you have any questions or comments don’t hesitate to
