These tags are valid for: Unit 4, Rio Arriba County, New Mexico
These are ranch only tags good for use on our 18,000 ranch in northern unit 4 near the Colorado border, 12 miles north of Chama near intersection of Hwy 64 and 84.
Lodging is provided with purchase of a tag as part of our package and includes 3 full meals a day and is fully guided.
Bugle hunts provide various bulls to choose from. Migration hunts also provide various bulls plus 100's of cows. We consistently have an 85% success rate.
Abundance of game on the ranch is Good to Great depending on the particular conditions and hunt but there is always good hunting.
Guide fees are part of our package.

Prices include elk tag, lodging, meals, and guide for the duration of the hunt. Lodging is located at the hunting site and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. State elk license must be purchased separately and is not included in this price.

More Information about the Ranch
The Azotea Ranch (ah-zoh-tay-ah) is located near the Colorado border, north-west of Chama in the heart of Northern New Mexico.
The ranch spans 18,000 acres and is located at the junction of US Hwy 84 and US Hwy 64. Elevations throughout range from 7,500 - 10,000 feet. The northeast boundary follows the continental divide and boarders the W.A. Humphries Wildlife Area to the south.
The ranch is inhabited by an abundant variety of wildlife to include trophy elk, bear, mule deer, mountain lion, turkey, and waterfowl. Migratory routes run through the ranch further enhancing the elk hunting experience.
This Northern New Mexico topography is comprised of conifers and aspens descending onto the oak covered ridges. It spans meadows, lush valleys, hillsides, mesa tops, including Chromo Mountain, the highest point extending over 10,000 ft. Numerous ponds and stock tanks are located strategically throughout the property to provide water to livestock and the wildlife.
