New Mexico unit 16A elk landowner tag is good for any archery season in New Mexico unit 16A elk south of unit 16D, north of unit 22 and just west of unit 23.
Reserve, New Mexico NM is located on the north end of the unit and this is one of the premium archery units in the entire west. Catron County, NM is home to this now famous trophy bull stomping ground.
Reserve has a population of 388 and is the closest town with any supplies.
